We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to efficiently move, load, and unload materials within our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and assist in stock organization.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency in operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, along with order picking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
