Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Batch Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining batch operations in a shift-based environment. This role involves working with Linux, SQL, OpCon scheduling tools, and supporting critical workflows. Additional experience in Splunk and DevOps practices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Batch Operations:

• Monitor, manage, and execute batch jobs and processes using OpCon or similar scheduling tools.

• Troubleshoot batch job failures and ensure timely resolution to maintain service levels.

• Perform routine health checks on batch jobs and escalate issues when necessary.

2. Linux Administration:

• Execute and troubleshoot shell scripts in Linux environments.

• Perform basic Linux administration tasks required to support batch operations.

3. SQL Development:

• Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and update data in databases.

• Monitor database-related jobs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

4. Incident Management:

• Identify and resolve incidents promptly during shift hours.

• Document issues, resolutions, and root cause analysis to improve future processes.

5. Operational Tools & Reporting:

• Use Splunk or similar tools for log analysis and monitoring batch operations.

• Generate operational reports and performance metrics for batch processes.

6. DevOps Collaboration (Optional):

• Assist in automating batch operations through DevOps pipelines.

• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to enhance job efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.

• Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience with OpCon or similar job scheduling tools.

• Basic understanding of incident and change management processes.

• Willingness to work in a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Splunk for log monitoring and analysis.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, version control, and automation).

• Knowledge of ITIL practices and methodologies.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
