Infection Prevention Program Manager – Montana
Salary Range: $66,000 – $93,000

Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, this role is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the hospital's infection prevention and control program. The Infection Preventionist will lead surveillance activities, conduct data analysis, collaborate with clinical teams, and educate staff on infection prevention best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Conduct surveillance and reporting of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)
- Analyze infection data to identify trends and recommend targeted interventions
- Investigate and manage potential outbreaks in collaboration with clinical teams
- Educate and train staff on infection control protocols, including proper use of PPE
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Advise leadership and staff on current best practices and regulatory updates
- Participate in infection control risk assessments and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal infection control regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field
- CIC Certification required (or must be obtained within 2 years of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of infection prevention and control experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention strategies, regulatory requirements, and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across clinical teams
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and hospital safety standards
