Compliance Manager
Location: Greenville, Michigan
Reports to: Group Director of Engineering for Marvel/U-Line/Viking
Viking, U-Line, and Marvel Refrigeration, are renowned leaders in premium refrigeration and ice products, are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products, operations, and processes comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Expected Hours of Work:
This position is full-time. The general scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday, plus overtime when required.
Position Overview:
Your workdays will be challenging, diverse, and interesting, including managing multiple compliance projects from regulatory audits to implementing product certifications. You will have hands-on involvement at every step for all manufactured products, ensuring regulatory adherence and the highest quality standards for Viking, U-Line and Marvel brands. Our Compliance Managers are instrumental in maintaining and enhancing product safety, environmental sustainability, and industry-leading standards, bringing compliance concepts to life to support our high-end customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and international regulations.
- Stay up to date on regulatory requirements related to product safety, environmental standards, quality certifications, and industry standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, EPA).
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of operations, policies, and documentation to identify and resolve non-compliance issues.
- Provide guidance to engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams on compliance requirements for new and existing products.
- Coordinate the submission and management of regulatory filings, certifications, and product registrations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and external auditors.
- Lead compliance training programs for employees, ensuring company-wide awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
- Investigate and report compliance-related incidents, recommending corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation, including policies, reports, and records.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in manufacturing, appliance, or related industries.
- Experience with product certifications and environmental regulations is highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, EPA,).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work 50% office & 50% shop environment–very hands on role
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday- Friday
