Job Description:
At Marvel Refrigeration, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Lab Technician to join our team. Our company has been creating innovative refrigeration products since 1962, and we are committed to providing beautiful and functional solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build-up, and qualification testing of refrigeration systems to support new product development initiatives and mature product maintenance.
- Fabrication of prototype cabinets using Model Shop equipment to support product development projects.
- Maintenance of Lab test chambers, computer data acquisition system, and Model Shop equipment.
- Calibration of Lab test equipment according to schedule.
- Preparation and issuance of test report documentation for all product performance and agency compliance testing.
- Maintenance of regulatory agency documentation records.
- Creation and maintenance of required product performance listings and labeling for all applicable product distribution requirements.
- Participation in agency audits of products and test facilities.
- Manufacturing support for product assembly, work instructions, operator training, and on-line safety/performance testing.
- Initiation of communications to facilitate sample component acquisitions and 3rd party testing services as required.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in HVAC or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in design, build-up, and test of household refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with refrigeration product test procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with refrigeration product energy certification, energy listings, and compliance with domestic and international safety agency and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with computer automated data acquisition systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Able to work shifts and hours mandated by management and pass a drug screen.
Working Conditions:
- Office based and Engineering Lab.
- 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday.
