Position Overview
The Financial Data Analyst – Finance Focus will support U-Line and Marvel Refrigeration in analyzing financial data, developing dashboards, and creating reports to improve decision-making across the organization. The role emphasizes understanding business needs, designing data models, and generating insights that align with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track financial KPIs and business performance.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that provide insights into financial results, trends, and key metrics.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate financial data and reporting.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources using Power BI and Excel.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and tools to provide analytical support and drive process improvement across various departments
- Automate financial reporting processes using Power BI to streamline data collection and presentation.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business units with financial data and insights.
- Provide financial insights that inform business decisions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance profitability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and senior leadership.
- Present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
- Train and support team members in Power BI and financial reporting best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- 2 years' experience in finance and analytics
- 2 years' proven experience with Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Office based and production based
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday- Friday
