What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant Part Time Marvin and Betty Danto Healthcare position at Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care Center?
Marvin and Betty Danto Nursing and Rehab is looking for Activity Assistants to provide the best quality of life and engaging daily activities to residents as a group or on an individual basis.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with planning, scheduling and implementing quality activities.
- Create and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
- Prepare activity calendars and update activity/orientation boards.
- Assist with resident's special events, outings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Work with volunteers and actively seek new volunteers.
- Encourage and motivate resident participation.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our candidates will possess the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other staff.
Educational requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
