The Stainer & Painter is responsible for preparing and applying pre-coating agents, paint, and stain and completing touchups on windows, doors, and trim.
Highlights Of Your Role
- Prepare various surfaces for painting/staining by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting, priming, sealing, or other means as necessary prior to painting or staining.
- Calculate amounts of required materials and estimates cost.
- Clean surfaces to ensure proper adherence. Tape areas when needed and cover surfaces where applicable to ensure protection
- Mix and blend various paints, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve desired color.
- Apply pre-coating agents, paint, and stain to surfaces. Complete touch-ups.
- Ensures the worksite is clean following completion of job
- 3 years of experience as a journeyman painter/stainer or equivalent level
- Able to follow specifications for mixing of paints and stains
- Able to transport material and maintain correct records
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable accident and moving violation motor vehicle record.
- Ownership of own tools
- Provide Certificate insurance for Commercial General Liability, Employer’s Liability, Automobile Liability, and Statutory Required Worker's Compensation
