Marvin Love and Associates is excited to announce an opening for the Chief Engineer at a lodge-resort featuring 100 rooms and 50 RV sites. In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring that the lodge and surrounding facilities are maintained to the highest standards for both guest satisfaction and safety.

Compensation: $110k - $115k 20%
Title: Chief Engineer
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all engineering functions, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for both lodge accommodations and RV sites.
- Leading a team of maintenance and engineering staff, providing training and support to ensure operational excellence.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborating with other departments to identify engineering needs and provide solutions promptly.
- Preparing and managing the engineering budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Overseeing vendor contracts and managing relationships with external service providers.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in facilities and engineering management, particularly in a resort or hospitality setting. A proactive approach to problem-solving, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Chief Engineer or similar engineering management role
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Proven leadership abilities and staff management skills
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with compliance and safety standards in the hospitality industry
- Relevant certifications in engineering or a related field preferred
