- Exemplify and ensure Marvin's Building Materials' Mission and Values are prioritized daily, keeping all associates informed about store and company expectations, news, and programs.
- Ensure aggressive customer service is defined and demonstrated as part of total store operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Supervise other associates as assigned.
- Maintain high enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, motivating other associates to do the same.
- Provide solutions to customers' questions.
- Stay up-to-date on current programs, company procedures, and communicate them to team members.
- Coordinate merchandise orders according to sales trends and customer demands.
- Complete cycle counts promptly and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Demonstrate leadership and adhere to Marvin's Building Materials' Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Train new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
- Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas, including restocking products.
- Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping.
- Work with associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals.
- Clean the store and exterior areas.
- Identify and correct safety problems or hazards.
- Complete price shops and price changes promptly.
- Must be certified in all areas, including inside and outside forklifts, DOT, gate, receiving, and service desk.
- Must complete the HCI product knowledge course, master opening and closing procedures, and customer service skills, such as banding lumber, cutting keys, mixing paint, keying locks, and cutting flooring.
- Perform other functions assigned by their supervisor.
