We're seeking a Project Coordinator in Chicago

Qualifications, Skills and Experience 

• Bachelor's or higher in Architecture
• Recent grads with 0 to 3 years of related experience
• Technical knowledge of constructability, building design, materials, and methods 
• Understanding of State and Federal codes as they apply to design and construction 
• Understanding of any of the following is desirable:
  • Building enclosure, roof and exterior wall assemblies
  • Building systems
  • Accessibility standards
• Architectural candidates with current progress towards AXP requirements/ARE exams  
• Strong ability to manage time and projects independently 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, and PlanGrid

Essential Functions 

With professional guidance/mentorship, you will:  

• Assist in building evaluations of new construction projects
• Perform and document field observations for property/facility condition assessments of existing buildings and new construction
• Perform cost evaluations for building repairs and replacements 
• Perform plan reviews for general code compliance and adequacy of design, coordination, detailing, and building materials and systems 
• Assist in preparing architectural/engineering construction documents for repair of existing buildings

Physical Requirements

Candidates should have the ability to:

• Move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
• See and respond to dangerous situations
• Respond quickly to sounds
• Ascend and descend ladders and stairs
• Move safely through confined spaces and narrow paths
• Work in outdoor weather conditions or unconditioned areas
• Operate a computer and other related office equipment, and possess visual acuity to read information from printed sources and computer screens
• Lift up to 40 pounds (ex: ladders)
• Travel approximately 25-50% of the time both in and out of state
