Job Summary:

Because we have the only digital optical lab in North Alabama along with an Anti-Reflection lab, our expertise is in making prescriptions glasses in house. Routine vision is our strong suite, and we work closely with Ophthalmologist for disease and cataract referrals. We do treat eye infections, foreign bodies etc., in house for our patients and safety contracts.
Located in Cullman, with offices in Decatur and Huntsville as well, MARX OPTICAL, has proudly served North Alabama for the past 30 years. Duties:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient visits
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmology
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat various eye conditions
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical terms to patients
- Strong sales skills to effectively recommend and sell eyewear products
- Ability to work well in a team environment
