FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST- SENIOR LIVING FACILITY
Every other Saturday 2pm-8pm
Holidays or other shifts as available

Position Summary:
To greet, direct and inform residents, families, visitors and staff in response to questions in person and on the phone. To perform clerical support efficiently, according to established procedures and as directed by the Executive Director.
Performance Standards:
May include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate a courteous, polite and friendly attitude with residents, families, visitors and staff.
- Operate telephone system.
- Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident apartment.
- Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents and sales representatives.
- Assist with administrative duties as directed (filing, typing, mailings).
- Assist Marketing Department with small tasks as needed.
- Assist Activity Department with small tasks such as phone call reminders to residents.
- Assist Dining Room with small tasks such as the “I’M OK” Checklist.
- Assist Maintenance Department such as recording and inputting service work orders.
- Assist Business Department by organizing and passing out notices and pay stubs.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail as directed.
- Contact staff using in-house cell phones as necessary.
- Take RSVP for special functions as necessary.
- Oversee sign-up for scheduled transportation.
- Update Homestead, Classic and Van E-Sheets.
- Follow procedures during emergencies.
- Call taxis for residents and visitors as necessary.
- Assure lobby and reception area is neat and clean. Keep an inviting atmosphere in the lobby (i.e., music is on and fresheners are on and working.
- Oversee coffee supply in Country Kitchen.
- Oversee temperature control and lighting in lobby, living room, club room, game room, conference room, private dining room and Country Kitchen.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure that resident rights are protected.
Qualifications:
Must be knowledgeable in administrative support duties, use of equipment and related support functions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to make independent decisions and keep information confidential.
Ability to maintain calm in a crisis.
Be knowledgeable in the use of computers, word processing, etc.
Have a clear and pleasant speaking voice.
Have exceptional social skills.
Ability to multi-task
Working conditions:
Work in office areas as well as throughout the community.
Ability to sit, twist, grasp and perform repetitive duties.
