What are the responsibilities and job description for the 25-26 Middle School Teacher (Applicant Pool) position at Mary Harper Middle School?
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Position requires a valid Texas teaching certificate in the subject and level of assignment.
**Coaching opportunities may become available, must obtain CDL.**
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year student teaching or approved internship

- $48,900 - $58,525 Salary Schedule Range
- $1,000-$1,500 for a Master’s
- $6,000 Additional Stipend for Math and Science (must be certified in area)
- $3,000 per dual credit course per semester
- $3,000 Special Education
- $426 Contribution to TRS Insurance
- Dilley ISD will provide a $10,000 Life Insurance (no cost)
