Job Summary

Under direct supervision and with guidance from senior team members, this role supports Global Logistics and North America’s Distribution department by assisting in key supply chain functions, including Data Analytics & Reporting, Inventory & Demand Planning, Logistics & Distribution Management, and Process Optimization & Systems Management. The Supply Chain Analyst I will develop foundational analytical skills and gain experience with supply chain systems while supporting day-to-day operations. This role involves assisting in moving and tracking inventory, compiling reports, analyzing data, interacting with internal and external departments and supporting process improvements under close supervision so that inventory is moved in the most cost efficient and compliant way, and tracked and accounted for as it moves through distribution channels.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Reporting - Under supervision, this role involves assisting in gathering, organizing, and preparing data to support decision-making within the supply chain team. It includes supporting the creation of basic dashboards and reports using tools like Excel and Tableau as directed by senior staff. They will also track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order cycle times, freight costs, delivery accuracy, and inventory turnover rates, ensuring alignment with business objectives. They will provide support conducting in-depth cost analyses to evaluate various freight and transportation options, pinpoint savings opportunities, and improve the overall cost-to-serve.
  • Inventory & Demand Planning - The Supply Chain Analyst will follow division’s strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing demand patterns, historical trends, and sales forecasts. They will collaborate with sales, marketing, demand planning, forecasting and operations teams to create accurate distribution plans, ensuring that inventory levels align with customer needs while minimizing holding costs. The role supports routine cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies detailed analysis and corrective actions. The analyst will work closely with procurement and material planning teams to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available in the right quantities and at the right time. Additionally, they will maintain synchronized inventory reports across systems, ensuring real-time accuracy and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in global and domestic supply chain operations. Create periodic performance scorecards and dashboards to share insights with leadership and operations teams.
  • Logistics & Distribution Management - This role will manage end-to-end logistics processes for both global and domestic distribution, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery to customers. They will collaborate with freight forwarders, 3PL service providers, and carriers to optimize freight movement, negotiate competitive rates, and build strong relationships. It involves assisting in tracking shipments and coordinating with logistics providers under the guidance of senior team members. The analyst will play a supporting role in monitoring freight costs, collecting data, and preparing reports for further analysis by senior analysts. By following established guidelines, the analyst will help ensure compliance with standard logistics procedures, contributing to the smooth flow of goods across the supply chain. Additionally, the role includes providing regular shipping status updates to stakeholders as directed, ensuring that all parties remain informed about delivery progress and potential delays.
  • Process Optimization & Systems Management - This role involves assisting in the maintenance and management of supply chain systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date data under the supervision of senior team members. The analyst will help monitor system performance, input data, and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain operational efficiency. Additionally, the role supports workflow improvements by documenting current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting minor refinements to streamline operations. Compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements is a key aspect of this role. The analyst will assist in ensuring all processes adhere to the necessary guidelines, helping to mitigate risks and enhance operational effectiveness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a fundamental responsibility, requiring the analyst to provide data and administrative support to various departments. This includes assisting in interdepartmental communications, coordinating supply chain-related information, and ensuring seamless data flow between different teams to support overall business objectives.
  • This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.

Skills & Experience

Experience: 2 years in Supply Chain- Knowledge of warehouse and distribution preferred.

Education: Bachelor/University Degree

Education Focus: Bachelor's degree required. Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related fields preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Must have analytical and mathematical skills to be able to analyze trends in large data sets and suggest KPIs and improvements.
  • Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in order to interface with other functional areas in the company.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and supply chain systems (e.g., JDE, WMS, TMS, Ariba) preferred.
  • Must have organization and time management skills to work effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must have a basic understanding of supply chain processes for domestic and international markets.
