Contributes to the development and creation of effective integrated marketing strategies to deliver engaging content for consumers while supporting and elevating the credibility of the Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants. With a focus on color, gifting, trend and fragrance categories, supports execution of 360-degree modular marketing campaigns, overseeing development of global creative, marketing and branding assets.Conducts background research and competitive analysis and reviews metrics and KPIs, to support the Creative Brief, ensuring creative, marketing and branding assets are globally relevant and impactful, assets are delivered on time and on budget, sustaining the growth of the Company’s strategic priorities. Will have own projects and with some guidance, deliver on projects.
- Assists with the development of global creative, marketing and branding assets to support the business by conducting competitive research and sourcing inspiration to prepare creative briefs, collaborating with GPM partners, regional teams, Social and Digital partners and other Creative partners.
- Builds influence and strong relationships with Regional Marketing, Global Product Management, Creative Services, Business Intelligence and various department stakeholders, as well as senior management, is essential for success in this position. Communications skills should be highly developed to manage complexity of working across cultures and departments.
- Lead creative, budgeting, makeup artist, stylist, brand development and art buying groups and keep projects on budget, seeking continuous improvements and cost savings.
- Ensures all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, as well as optimized for search and user experience for all channels.
- Conducts background research and competitive analysis and reviews metrics and KPIs. Conducts post launch analysis to understand asset adoption and region social media performance.
- Tracks corporate program adoption across markets and delivers initial analysis to Manager for global roll-up of analytics and program debriefs, contributing to a continuous improvement environment. May be asked to compile specific information from the Corporate Dashboard to support Manager and/or Director Communications and/or presentations.
- Conducts ad hoc research for special projects requested by Manager or Director.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Experience: 3 years
Field of Experience: Experience in cross-functional corporate or agency environment required, including direct experience with social media and digital marketing. Beauty and/or direct selling experience a plus.
Education: Bachelor/University Degree
Education Focus: Business, Communications, Marketing, Online and/or Social Media Marketing or related field
- The ideal candidate will bring integrated marketing experience with a passion for social media and working in a corporate environment. Critical to this position’s success is the ability to manage multiple routine projects at the same time with acute attention to detail.
- This role requires a unique blend of analytical and innovative thinking, creativity, and technical proficiency, as well as solid communication and project management skills to contribute to the department’s best-in-class 360-degree marketing execution.
- Expected to demonstrate understanding of a linked spectrum of global marketing, PR, social media, promotions and advertising ideation, as well as basic program management skills.
- Must be able to support development of brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the Mary Kay Product line to be acquired and an understanding of general cosmetics and beauty care consumable and beauty customer segments at a detailed level, as well as understanding consumer and Independent Beauty Consultant needs/expectations.
- Must be global minded with a flexible approach: keeping all markets in mind when supporting strategies and implementing initiatives.
- Must be creative, solution-focused and willing to work with others to identify fresh ideas.
- Must be an analytical thinker with a broad perspective and, at the same time, demonstrate an acute attention to detail and the ability to execute flawlessly.

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be a Brand Ambassador for the Mary Kay Brand and ensure all tactics adhere to Branding guidelines and global social media strategy.
