level Team Lead II leads ASRS operations including order and inventory management, material receipt and storage, shipments to distribution centers, pack out vendors, international subsidiaries, and monitoring and troubleshooting the automated storage retrieval systems and other equipment. Ensures all activities are in compliance with the established safety and quality standards and regulatory requirements. Develops, coaches, and mentors team members for excellent performance in all ASRS jobs and safety, quality and regulatory functions. Shares ownership in achieving world class performance and continuous improvement within ASRS operations. Identifies process gaps, executes root cause analysis and implements effective and sustainable countermeasures.
Responsibilities
- Leadership of People and Functions - Leads and directs the team members responsible for and the execution of the following operations and associated documentation/records:
- Physical and electronic management of domestic and international sales, transfer and work orders
- Management and control of inventory including, but not limited to, cycle counts, audits, adjustments, and obsolescence.
- Receipt, storage and shipment of finished goods, components, raw materials, as well as materials to and from contract vendors (hazardous and non-hazardous products and materials)
- Transport of domestic United States and international distribution.
- Maintenance of the automated storage retrieval systems and other automated material handling and conventional equipment.
- Assesses staffing and plans cross-training activities to utilize all available resources and maximize productivity. Ensures effective utilization of equipment and materials.
- Selects, trains, develops, motivates, counsels and rewards team members to ensure achievement of operational goals. Leads growth and development conversations, holds routine one on one meetings, and facilitates the performance development process with direct reports. Encourages cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure business continuity.
- Systems and Results - Executes system transactions, monitors system activity, corrects errors and malfunctions, and interfaces with IST and outside vendors for support. (Systems include, but are not limited to, JDE, WMS, JDE, Dematic EMS, CMMS, Agile, LIMS). Assists with vehicle and stacker recoveries. Performs system start up and shut down functions. Logs system related downtime issues. Has full training and involvement with the ASRS Warehouse automated computer system.
- Analyzes, updates, tracks, and routes various reports for management including, but not limited to, the master production schedule, work order status and completions, available inventory, inventory adjustments and shortages, and cycle counts. Analyze safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory reports to ensure KPIs are aligned to meet the overall site strategic vision. Maintains accurate records of staff, including production movements, errors, as well as attendance and overtime.
- Quality and Regulatory Compliance – Leads the ASRS quality and compliance programs in accordance with Mary Kay corporate and regulatory requirements. Ensures procedures and documentation/records for each function within ASRS operations are complete and accurate, aligned with industry best practices, and comply with various modes of domestic and international transportation and with country specific government legal requirements. Maintains the training plan for each role, executes training against requirements and documents the training.
- Conducts inspections to ensure procedures are followed as written and ensures readiness for internal and external audits. Documents inspection findings, assigns action items and tracks to closure.
- Ensures accuracy of all required labeling and documentation such as bill of ladings and hazardous declarations for the Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG).
- Safety/6S – Leads the ASRS environmental, health and safety programs in accordance with Mary Kay corporate and regulatory requirements. Selects and implements e-learning tools, supports the development of training material, and conducts and documents training as required. Responsible to maintain records associated with the designated programs.
- Provides training on Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) requirements and industry best practices. Trains and certifies PIT operators. Manages on-site PIT trainers and rewards program. Leads and documents PIT incident investigations.
- Leads the inspection process to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are in accordance with 6S and Lean practices. Documents inspection findings, assigns action items and tracks to closure. Responsible for all safety issues affecting employees and the working environment, including leading incident investigations and taking action to minimize risk of injury. Evaluates concerns and ideas expressed by the team. Monitors the building in the absence of Facilities and Protective Service personnel. Notifies management and/or Protective Services immediately with emergency related issues.
- Administers the Hearing Conservation, Safety Prescription Eyewear and Safety Shoe programs for ASRS. Manages any associated testing, records, and employee communications.
- Continuous improvement – Leads ASRS continuous improvement initiatives. Meets objectives by optimizing processes that positively impact machines, materials, methods and manpower, and contributes to ensuring safe working practices are followed and to driving standardization within the workplace. Actively participates in the daily updates to visual boards and Gemba walks. Leads investigations for process failures, identifies root cause, implements corrective and preventative actions, and verifies effectiveness over time. Shares ownership in achieving world class performance, supporting the effort to achieve strategies and goals of becoming world class and a low cost/high quality supply chain partner of choice.

Skills & Experience
Experience: 3 years in Supply Chain- Knowledge of warehouse and distribution preferred. 1 year of supervisor experience is required.
Education: Bachelor/University Degree
Education Focus: Bachelor's degree required. Business or Supply Chain preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management, with the ability to write detailed procedures and reports.
- Must have technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills in order to work with the repair, maintenance, and operation of ASRS equipment and direct the activities of the staff.
- Must have experience with warehouse data and automated equipment management systems (such as WMS, JDE, EMS, CMMS, Agile, LIMS) to perform daily functions, and the ability to interpret data within various reports.
- Must have a baseline understanding of the rules and regulations related to the storage and distribution of consumer products as described by EPA, DOT, OSHA, FDA and cGMP. Must have knowledge of hazardous materials/dangerous goods rules and regulations for the DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. Must be able to secure and maintain all training and/or certifications as required by governing regulations.
- Must understand the transportation industry including trucking, air, and ocean carriers and the local, state and federal regulations associated with each carrier.
- Must act with minimal guidance from management and is trusted to make good business decisions based on demonstrated knowledge and professional experience.
- Must have a sense of urgency in order to respond to operations changes, emergencies, and deadlines.
- Domestic / International overnight travel required approximately <5% of work time.
