Nature & Scope : Positional Overview
Mary Kraft is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to analyze mid- and higher-level workers’ compensation claims to determine benefits due. The role requires ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims in accordance with company standards and industry best practices, as well as identifying subrogation opportunities and negotiating settlements.

- Analyze and process complex workers’ compensation claims by investigating and gathering necessary information to determine claim exposure and benefits due.
- Develop and manage comprehensive action plans for each claim to ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor reserve accuracy throughout the life of each claim and file all necessary documentation with state agencies.
- Approve and process assigned claims, determining and administering benefits in accordance with the claim or client contract.
- Coordinate return-to-work efforts and manage claim payments effectively.
- Identify opportunities for claim subrogation and negotiate settlements with all involved parties.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with claimants and clients regarding claim actions and resolutions.
- Ensure all claim files are accurately documented and that claims coding adheres to company standards.
- Process complex lifetime medical and / or defined period medical claims, including state and physician filings, and monitor decisions on recommended treatments from utilization reviews.
