Job Description:

Shift: Day Shift

The House Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and direction to both nursing service and general hospital staff. The House Supervisor works under limited supervision providing guidance and direction to both nursing service and general hospital staff for the delivery of high quality patient care to patients of all ages. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to support clinical staff by assessing data reflective of patient’s status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to the patient’s specific needs; facilitates the allocation of resources to support scope of care provided at the hospital and provides leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of the unit manager, director, or administration. Utilizes hospital policy, professional experience, and clinical judgment to plan and accomplish goals, assess needs, and resolve challenges.

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required or enrolled in a program with completion date being within 24 months of hire. Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years related experience and/or training in acute care nursing required. Previous experience in management/administration preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSES: Current registered nurse (RN) license or temporary permit from the State of Nebraska required. BLS certification required. ACLS, NRP, or PALS required.
