Job Summary -
Greets and assists patients upon arrival. Completes pre-registration, onsite registration, and check-in for all appointments. Facilitates all necessary workflows for scheduled and unscheduled patients.
Performs extensive clerical duties, including but not limited to the following: answers phones, schedules patients, reviews insurance information with patients, verifies health plan benefit coverage and eligibility, and calls to confirm appointments.
Regulatory Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office setting or registering patients, preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and keyboarding.
- Strong attention to details and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize by level of importance.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance.
