Job Description
The Crisis Therapist will be responsible for assisting individuals who walk into extended crisis hours, Sunday through Saturday, 5 p.m.-12 a.m. This part-time position requires the therapist to be on site and work 2-3 shifts per week. The primary responsibility involves completing a crisis assessment or diagnostic assessment and making recommendations for ongoing treatment. Additionally, the therapist will develop a safety plan or treatment plan for youth and adults seeking services and facilitate connecting individuals to outpatient or inpatient treatment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A master's degree in human services or a behavioral healthcare field with one year of counseling experience in the field of chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in human services or a behavioral healthcare field with two years of experience in the chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment is required.
- A valid state of Ohio LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, MFT, IMFT with two years of paid full-time experience in the field of behavioral health is also required.
