Job Description
The Senior Director of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for developing long-term strategies to ensure good market positioning of the organization and overseeing all marketing and communications efforts.
Responsibilities
- Developing long-term strategies to ensure good market positioning of the organization
- Overseeing all marketing and communications efforts
- Interpreting financial data and preparing budgets and financial grant reports
- Understanding local, state, and federal funding sources and locating potential sources for funding
- Grant funding policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Creating a common narrative to help articulate the complicated and robust work of the organization
- Tailoring messages and outputs to various audiences
- Managing relations with an outside marketing agency
- Oversight of strategy execution, tracking progress, and reporting to the executive leadership team and board of directors
- Optimizing and improving marketing strategies and their implementation based on progress analysis and feedback
- Building a robust and effective internal communications plan
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong interpersonal skills and project management abilities
