Description
Using face-to-face and various digital communication channels, the Community Relations and Communications Manager is responsible for building and strengthening relationships within the communities Maryhurst serves in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. The manager will work closely with the Maryhurst communication function and Maryhurst Renewal (our community-based behavioral health program) on initiatives related to public relations, community events, partnership stewardship and awareness cultivation for Maryhurst.
What you'll be doing -
- Act has liaison with community leaders, neighborhood, and business groups in the areas in which we operate (primarily West and South Louisville).
- Develops and manages a plan for Maryhurst to participate in community events and happenings in neighborhoods which we provide services.
- Ensures that Maryhurst has excellent promotional and marketing collateral related to their role and focus areas, working the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop.
- Develop content for Maryhurst's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement with the audience.
- Write and distribute regular email newsletters, highlighting key updates, initiatives, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders; publish newsletter content to Maryhurst website.
- Work with Director, Marketing and Communications to identify and draft compelling impact stories that highlight the organization's mission, successes, and the positive outcomes of its work.

- You've obtained a Bachelor's Degree and have 2 years working in community engagement, public relations, marketing, or equivalent field OR High School Diplomas with 6 years of experience.
- Are familiar with social media publishing platforms, email CRMs, and website CMS systems (i.e. Drupal or Wordpress) preferred.
- Have the creativity and vision to work in design and creative production software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
