The State Highway Administration’s (SHA) District 4 is currently recruiting for an Inventory Specialist (Shop Administrative Technician III) in Baltimore and Harford Counties. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this position or function only. You will need to reapply for any future recruitment conducted for this job classification.
Nature of Work: The main purpose of this position is to procure materials, parts, supplies, and services for a maintenance facility. This position manages the receipt, storage, and disbursement of materials, parts, supplies, and services from the stock room at the maintenance facility. This position also maintains total working knowledge of VISA Procurement, Enhanced Procurement Information Control System (EPICS), MDOT Standard Accounting and Reporting System (MSTARS), and Bradley Inventory System to assist with procurement and inventory management. In addition, this position will provide administrative support to the office staff due to manpower or workload demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse or other supply storage facility.
Selective Qualification: One (1) year of the required experience must have involved procurement and inventory processes.

Selective qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skill or ability).Candidate must possess a driver's license valid in the state of Maryland.
