Recruitment: The State Highway Administration (SHA) is recruiting for a Real Property Specialist position in the Office of Real Estate (Baltimore City). This is an Interview and Hire position that is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below for this position.
Nature of Work:
The Office of Real Estate’s mission is to provide real estate services to SHA and other agencies in a timely customer-oriented manner. Our customers include all other SHA operations, other State and local government agencies, and the citizens we are acquiring property from. The main purpose of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate response to all research requests and to maintain the records pertaining to the acquisition of SHA’s right-of-way and other real estate holdings.

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: None.
Notes:
1. Additional experience in professional or technical real estate work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as defined under the Minimum Qualifications may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-
for-year basis.
Candidate must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland. Special Requirements: 1. Employees may be subject to state-wide assignments, which may occasionally require overnight travel. 2. Employees must be willing and available for duty at such hours, day or night, as may be required in order to respond to agency operations. 3. Employees are required to maintain a reliable communication link (telephone or pager) for the purpose of emergency call back requirements. |
