The Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) is seeking a customer service-oriented candidate with innovative ideas and solutions for our Senior Analyst (Administrator III) position.

The Senior Analyst (Administrator III) position is responsible for reporting a wide range of management and operational performance metrics for internal and external agency use to include data gathering, designing or redesigning data models and templates for electronic, web-based, or manual use by agency manger and staff. This position involves continuous direct in-person contact with MVA representatives and other stakeholders to provide data or to conduct forecasting or special analyses.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing Briefing Book workbook and organizational performance reporting
  • Creating performance reporting materials and summary analysis
  • Developing MVA operational performance report
  • Distributing reports to the executive management team on data trend changes and scenarios due to deployment of new initiatives
  • Compiling and analyzing MVA data to identify trends and anomalies in operational performance
  • Developing recommendations, solutions and presentations to MVA upper management 
  • Assisting administration in daily management decisions and operational performance
  • Developing trend reporting for comprehensive forecasting activities that identify impact of new initiatives and future business models and processes
  • Developing annual reporting for the Department of Budget and Management and federal agency stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
 
Experience:  Six (6) years of experience in administrative staff or professional work. *Three (3) years of experience must include Data Analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.  One (1) year of experience must include experience using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar software.

*Selective Qualification recruitments are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (knowledge, skill, or ability). No substitution is allowed for a selective qualification.

Notes:       

 1.  Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.

2.  Candidates may substitute the possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.

3.  Candidates may substitute the possession of a master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
 
4.  Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. 
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
