Ophthalmic Tester

Job Summary:
Maryland Eye Care Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tester to support our clinical team by performing diagnostic tests and preliminary screenings essential for patient eye care. The ideal candidate will have experience with ophthalmic equipment and a strong commitment to patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, and keratometry
• Capture high-quality fundus photographs and OCT images
• Conduct visual field tests and other pre-exam screenings
• Document patient history and test results accurately in the EMR
• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers as needed
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an ophthalmic or optometric clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with ophthalmic testing equipment and EMR systems
• Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
