The Maryland Food Bank (MFB) is a nonprofit, anti-hunger organization whose mission is to feed people, strengthen communities, and end hunger for more Marylanders. MFB does this work by expanding access to nutritious food while also seeking to eliminate the root causes of hunger.
MFB’s distributes food through a statewide network of community-based organizations from Maryland’s western mountains to its Eastern Shore. Last year, the Maryland Food Bank distributed enough food to provide the equivalent of more than 41 million meals, or about 114,000 meals every day. This healthy food supports children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families.

About the position :
The Retail Recovery & Donation Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with food donors and agency partners to determine the best flow for retail recovery donations. This includes managing, onboarding, and facilitating the relationship between the retail recovery donor and Maryland Food Bank agency partners.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Managing all existing retail donor relationships and onboarding new retail donors
- Facilitate the relationship between the retail recovery donor and Maryland Food Bank partner agencies i.e., Make introductions at store-level to review policies and procedures.
- Assist with transitioning pickup responsibilities from the Maryland Food Bank to our partner agencies
- Serve as the point of contact for partner agency and retail donors
- Field all calls pertaining to individuals and organizations interested in donating goods
- Monitor retail recovery reports for gaps in reporting and determine if the gaps are agency or retail donor related
- Assist with retail recovery data cleanup
- Manage inbound food donations and will work with transportation to coordinate donation pickups.

Working Conditions :
The employee will carry out job duties from inside a professional office environment with little fluctuation in temperatures and low noise. Employee will also carry out job duties visiting retail and warehouse locations across the state. For offsite duties, the employee is expected to travel by automobile and will be exposed to changing weather and noise conditions .
Pay range : $22.00 - 24.00 / Per hour (Overtime eligible)
