Position :
Part-time faculty appointment in the Animation Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art
Job Description :
This faculty position will teach a minimum of 3 credits and maximum of 6 credits per semester in Film and Video. The candidate will be capable of teaching various levels of animation at the undergraduate program. Faculty should also have a broad understanding of the role of animation in contemporary culture, art, and commerce. Please review the online course descriptions for possible placement options.
Requirements :
- A Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in animation, a related visual arts field, or professional achievements in animation or digital media equivalent to an MFA;
- Demonstrated knowledge of animation processes and tools in contemporary animation arts practice;
- Demonstrated knowledge in animation history, theory, and criticism;
- A record of professional accomplishment, as demonstrated by an online portfolio of professional work and record of exhibition and / or publication.

Additional Information :
Salary : $4,515.00 - $7,656.00 Commensurate with experience and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The part-time faculty are represented by the SEIU Local 500.
