What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Clerk/Medical Equipment Technician position at Maryland Masonic Homes?
Maryland Masonic Homes located in Cockeysville, MD is seeking a full-time Utility Clerk/Medical Equipment Technician) to work side by side with our Director Building Maintenance. The idea candidate must have at least 2-4 working years experience working in a building maintenance environment. Must have experience working as a maintenance technician in a retirement community or SNF nursing home. Must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi task and work in a team environment.
Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:
- The utility mechanic/medical equipment technician is responsible for responding to reported medical equipment malfunctions. Medical equipment may consist of hospital beds, wheelchairs, lifts etc. They will be expected to perform basic maintenance duties throughout the complex with little or no supervision.
- Assists with the clearing of roads, walks, and parking areas of snow, ice, and debris.
- Performs general maintenance duties that do not require specialized skills. Examples would include light bulb changes, inspections and reporting, inventory stocking and counting and cleaning.
- Assists maintenance mechanics in performance of their duties where the task at hand requires more than one person.
- Must have working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and machinery mechanics.
Compensation Range: $20.00 - $23.00 based on experience
