Job Description: Clinical Supervisor/Therapist
Position Title: Clinical Supervisor
Department: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC)
Reports To: Clinical Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing clinical staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services within the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC). This position involves providing supervision, training, and support to therapists and other clinical staff while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Oversight:
- Provide clinical supervision to therapists, interns, and other clinical staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Review and approve treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Clinical Quality Assurance:
- Monitor clinical outcomes and ensure that evidence-based practices are used in service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of client records to maintain quality and compliance with state and accreditation standards.
- Training and Development:
- Organize and conduct training sessions for clinical staff on best practices, regulatory updates, and professional development.
- Provide mentorship and support to new clinicians to enhance skills and confidence.
- Client Care Management:
- Support therapists with complex cases by providing guidance and clinical consultation.
- Intervene in crisis situations and assist with developing safety plans as needed.
- Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure clinical services adhere to organizational policies, state regulations, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and legal requirements for mental health care.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with the Clinical Director and administrative staff to improve service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Provide supervision 3 days a week see clients 2 days a week
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required).
Licensure:
- Active LCSW-C, LCPC, or equivalent state license (required).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a mental health environment (preferred).
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments and reviewing treatment plans.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and foster a collaborative team environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Office-based setting with occasional travel to satellite locations.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and conduct remote supervision if necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 per week
Schedule:
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
Work Location: In person
