The Baltimore Academy has established itself as a premier provider of Full Day Special Education services for students in grades 6 through 12. The 12 month school program serves male and female adolescents ages 12 through 21 who are exhibiting serious emotional and behavior disorders and who are not yet able to function in less restrictive school settings.
We are looking for a part-time Special Education Art Teacher in our school. Must able to teach middle and high school.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Bachelor's degree required
Must be certified in special education or eligible for certification in the state of Maryland.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Under the supervision of the Director of Education, Special Education Teachers implement individual education plans for each student.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our curriculum and an understanding of Maryland State-wide learning outcome goals.
- Teachers must also maintain an appropriate level of behavior management skills within the scope of the school-wide Behavior Management Program.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (Responsibilities listed above are a general description of the level and nature of work assigned to this position and are not to be considered as all inclusive.)
