SUMMARY
Branch Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the branch and ensuring all employees are aware of their job responsibilities to the company and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates distribution, warehousing and sales in accordance with policies, procedures and principles of Marva Maid Dairy.
- Confers with customers to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services.
- Analyzes and resolves any customer, product, or service problems.
- Assist in new store set-ups and openings.
- Develops effective working relationships with customers to promote good will and generate new business.
- Resolves problems effectively; enforces company policies; promotes safety; conducts safety meetings. Seeks assistance from the Human Resources Department and Safety Department when necessary.
- Sets deadlines to ensure completion of branch operational functions.
- May assist / run route when needed.
- May run specials to route drivers on routes.
- Ensures correct accounting for customers, cash and product inventories; prepares DOT and fuel reports; and coordinates branch truck vehicle maintenance.
- Ensures all route personnel fill out completely and accurately all required paperwork, (pre-trip, post trip, logs, etc.). Ensures that forms are reviewed, and employees maintain compliance.
EDUCATION
High School or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting dairy products of 50 lbs. max and 25 lbs. frequently. Occasionally climbing up in and stepping down from truck / tractor trailer. Requires reaching and handling of dairy products to customers and office personnel; listens to customers for daily orders and instructions.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Over 4 years up to and including 10 years knowledge of business, supervisory and planning of day to day operation in a warehouse / transportation setting.
