Job Function :
Maintaining files and documentation related to test data, test equipment and test results of equipment. Providing specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality Program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques and statistical methods. Ensures that received and issued dairy products are of high quality and within the acceptable specifications at all times.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Coordinate workflow, calibration dates, and maintain Lab and Plant document record organization.
2. Keep track of lab supplies and ordering as necessary working within laboratory budget.
3. Maintain existing lab equipment in good working order and obtain service as necessary.
4. Monitor the plant weight checks daily and inform operators of problems. Place out of spec product on hold for further testing.
5. Perform monthly documented plant inspections for Good Manufacturing Practices.
6. Generate and send COA's to customers as needed.
7. Maintain and organize plant QC checks (Daily filler, filters, door sprayer, and daily plant temp check).
8. Assist with testing consumer complaints as they come in, react to trends involving this plant and notify appropriate personnel.
9. Assist production employees to correct deviations.
10. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Communicate with all departments to ensure successful operations.
12. Evaluate subordinates and ensure corrective action for employee discrepancies are administered.
13. Ensure all safety and training is provided and signed off in the training records.
14. Provide induction and refresher training to lab employees on the use of the lab equipment and making sure that all training records are complete.
15. Make sure all Quality Management System documentation is readily available to all lab employees and that all lab employees are informed on updates.
16. Will be on call for off shifts utilizing a company issued cell phone and laptop equipped with VPN log-in.
17. Perform other duties as requested by management.
