Maryville High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Girls’ Wrestling Program.
Position: Assistant Girls’ Wrestling Coach

Qualifications:
- High school coaching experience preferred
- Wrestling experience at the collegiate or high school level preferred

Qualities:

- Develop and maintains a positive educational environment as the leader of the team.
- Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
- Be present and active during any activity involving girls wrestling athletes.
- Coordinate the development, promotion, and retention for the Girls Wrestling Program
- Develop and organize a regular practice schedule and practice plan along with other coaches to provide both individual and team development along with consistent implementation of expectations.
- Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Actively support student athlete post-secondary goals.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (TSSAA), opponents, officials, staff, parents, and students.
- Incorporate best practices into a growth-oriented teaching/coaching style
- Perform duties assigned to all coaches by administrators
- Must develop and manage a team budget strictly according to bookkeeping procedures.
- Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan document
- FLSA Status: Exempt
