Purpose of the Position
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing key financial operations within the organization. This position encompasses direct leadership across key financial domains, including Business Control, Project Control, Business Analysis, Management Reporting, Tax Filings, and Statutory Reporting. The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with group standards and legal requirements while delivering accurate, reliable, and timely financial results.
A key responsibility of this role is to build a vital bridge between Finance and other business areas, providing actionable insights that enhance decision-making and drive business improvement. By leveraging financial analysis and reporting, the Finance Manager will support business areas with tools that ensure proactive and data-driven interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Safety (SHEQ)
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental standards and policies.
- Promote a safety-focused work environment and implement continuous improvement practices.
- Conduct regular site visits to uphold safety and compliance standards.
Financial Strategy and Alignment
Implement the group’s financial strategy by developing actionable plans and measurable targets within the country.Provide strategic input to senior leadership and proactively contribute to shaping the organization’s financial direction.Organizational Processes
Establish and oversee financial processes across the relevant business units, ensuring adherence to group standards and performance metrics.Develop and maintain clear organizational structures, processes, and controls to achieve performance objectives.Adapt business performance procedures to ensure continuous improvement.Forecasting and Planning
Lead the development and maintenance of accurate forecasting and financial planning systems, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) align with business area objectives to facilitate data-driven decision-making.Verify and provide accurate financial information to support ongoing business performance.Business Control
Develop and manage business control systems, ensuring compliance with group standards and applicable legislation.Implement and monitor KPIs that support cost control, margin improvements, and profitability management.Provide financial intelligence and support to business units, enabling effective performance steering.Management Reporting and Communication
Oversee the creation and maintenance of robust management reporting systems, providing timely, accurate data for informed decision-making.Present monthly management reports and financial updates to executive leadership.Ensure all internal stakeholders receive relevant and actionable financial insights.Risk Management
Monitor business activities to ensure compliance with financial policies, group standards, and applicable legislation.Mitigate financial risks by proactively addressing deviations and identifying potential issues across all business units.Support efforts to maintain financial stability and achieve economic goals.Continuous Improvement
Assess existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and propose financially sound initiatives.Provide guidance to stakeholders on improving financial performance, using data-driven insights and recommendations.Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Master’s degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.Experience
Demonstrated experience in a senior-level Finance position, such as Business Controlling or Financial Analysis.Proven ability to lead and manage teams of finance professionals.Language Proficiency
Fluency in English is required.Knowledge of Spanish is a highly desirable asset.Technical Competencies
Expertise in accounting principles, financial control, forecasting, and planning.Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial risk management.Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros).Experience in using Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools.Location
