Job Summary
Masa Hibachi Steakhouse is seeking skilled and passionate individuals to join our vibrant team! We are currently hiring a talented Bartender and a friendly, dependable Server. The ideal Bartender candidate will have a genuine passion for mixology, exceptional customer service skills, and a drive to create memorable experiences for every guest. As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing outstanding service, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient bar area in a fast-paced environment.
As a Server, you will play a key role in delivering excellent guest experiences by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Both roles require a strong dedication to teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Responsibilities
Bartender:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Manage inventory by restocking supplies and keeping track of drink orders.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely service of food and beverages.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Use the POS system to process orders efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage tabs with basic math skills.
Server:
- Greet and assist guests with menu selections and food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and friendly manner.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas.
Experience
- Previous bartending or serving experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with the food service industry and knowledge of drink recipes is essential.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs.
- Experience using POS systems is a plus.
Salaries
- Bartender: $6/hour plus tips (~$20-$30 per hour)
- Server: $4/hour plus tips (~$20-$30 per hour)
