Production Supervisor - 1st Shift Job Description:
Primary Role: You will personally apply your skills while leading a team to achieve production goals. You will support team members in their roles and facilitate communication between team members and management regarding issues or concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
· Guide and support seasoned team members, and train/develop new team members
· Hold team members accountable for job responsibilities, providing constructive coaching
· Approve and track team members' time-off requests
· Review and approve team timecards for payroll processing
· Establish and maintain strong work ethics within the team
· Delegate tasks effectively to optimize team productivity
· Foster a positive team environment that promotes quality and efficiency
· Coordinate employee break rotations and provide coverage in production areas when team members are on breaks
· Jump in to assist in different areas as needed to maintain production flow
Production Operations
· Enforce all safety rules and practices to maintain a safe work environment
· Work towards meeting team output objectives on the number of cooks
· Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained
· Report any equipment, safety, or employee concerns to management
· Complete necessary documentation, shift reports, and cooking logs
· Ensure team adherence to Food Safety and Quality Standards
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cooking levels, walkways, stairs, seeping tanks, cookers, and transfer tanks
Technical Knowledge
· Familiarity with pumping, cooking methods, sanitation, grinding, milling, and packaging
· Comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and hands-on work
· Understanding of the automation system and calcium dosing system
· Support other areas of plant operations as needed
Pay Scale:
· $23-$26 depending on qualifications and experience.
Work Schedule:
· Monday through Friday
· Some Overtime/Weekends: and On Call
· 1st shift: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Experience in food production preferred
- Ability to perform in multiple positions (cooking, pumping, sanitation, transfer tanks, steeping tanks)

- Ability to work early mornings and weekends when necessary
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to food safety and quality standards
- Knowledge of Safety and Compliance Regulations (OSHA, HACCP, GMP, etc.)
- Continuous Improvement Mindset (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies)
- Conflict Resolution Skills (Ability to manage employee disputes and performance issues effectively)
- Mechanical Aptitude (Basic troubleshooting of production equipment to minimize downtime)
- Ability to Train and Mentor Employees (Onboarding, training, and cross-training team members)
- Adaptability and Decision-Making Under Pressure (Ability to react quickly and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations)
