What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality position at Masaba Inc?
General Description
Responsible to inspect and document product quality per established procedures and standards. Schedule and perform interdepartmental and individual equipment inspections of product at various stages of production to insure conformance to weld, paint and component specifications. Equipment categories include a wide range of aggregate processing equipment including Portable Washing, Screening, and Crushing Plants, a wide variety of Conveyor Equipment, as well as a wide variety of very customized equipment. The Quality Inspector will work very closely with all management teams including sales, engineering, operations, purchasing and production to resolve quality problems and implement process improvements. Specific responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Ensure paint touch-up is completed (if necessary); notify Production Manager when finished good is ready to ship
Assist in loading trucks with finished goods, documenting the loads (containers) and pictures of the loads while loading
Assist with inspections of all warranty and parts orders to ensure quality.
Assist Logistics Coordinator with the complete Bill of Lading, weighing of truck(s) and hook up of trailer to truck
Assist Logistics Coordinator with shipping finished goods: maintain inventory of loads, load and weigh as required.
Maintain MASABA rental equipment (incoming and out-going)
Tracking and paperwork for receiving incoming crushers, screens and rental equipment.
Maintaining Quality Metrics in Excel
Manage and document (scan and file) finished goods final inspections and quality reports
Perform monthly finished goods inventory.
Procure and file photographs of finished goods as required.
Generate Quality Assurance forms and process documentation as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience Requirements
2-4 years experience in quality processes strongly preferred.
Manufacturing experience in welding, assembly or industrial painting a plus.
Ability to work standing on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day in hot or cold environment.
Good hand and eye coordination.
Good visual acuity.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of the position.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to read and understand English.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work standing on hard surface (e.g. concrete) for long periods of time in hot or cold environment.
Good hand and eye coordination.
Good visual acuity.
Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints.
Must be able to perform basic shop math functions and use standard measuring devices.
Comfortable using a computer with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
