Custodian (2pm-10pm)

POSITION TITLE: Custodian QUALIFICATIONS: GED or High School Diploma. Must be dependable and be able to work independently. REPORTS TO: Head Custodian and Director of Facilities PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Daily routine cleaning of K-12 educational facilities; Includes but not limited to, daily trash removal, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning gymnasiums, locker rooms, rest rooms, unloading supplies from trucks etc. • Shall be available for emergencies and callbacks as needed • Will be required to open, close and secure district building as needed • Applicant will be required to climb ladders and operate various power cleaning equipment auto Scrubbers, vacuums and buffers • Applicant will be required to assist with snow and ice removal with both manual and mechanical means as needed. Have the ability and willingness to work in various environments and weather • Applicant shall be able to safely lift 50 pounds, push and pull various carts, operate hand trucks, etc. • Applicant shall be able to walk, stand, to work in a physically demanding job for 8 hour shifts • Applicant shall be willing to work extra events and weekends as needed • Display a pleasant attitude and interact well with staff, students and the public • Complete other related tasks as assigned by the Head Custodian and/or Director of Facilities.
