What challenges can you expect?
Summary
Ensures that a quality product is produced and shipped on time utilizing all available resources to accomplish the objectives. Enforces company’s policies and implements procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Functions
- Ensure production schedules are followed by delegating tasks and assignments and verify they are completed according to Quality, Industry and company standards.
- Review production applicants and performing initial interviews with candidates.
- Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative and corrective action.
- Ensures ISO and Quality Management Systems policies and procedures are accomplished.
- Monitor and Manage employee attendance including PTO and other leaves of absence.
- Enforce 6s housekeeping rules
- Conduct daily shop floor meetings with all departments (maintains daily report with quality issues, part shortages, and status of daily/weekly production).
- Enforce safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Coordinates training activities with Line Leads per the direction of the Operations Coordinator.
- Maintain training records.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development, including completing performance evaluations and disciplinary action. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
- Tracks absenteeism and time-keeping.
- Places orders and manages inventory of certain production-related supplies.
- Writing work instructions as well as production checklists as assigned.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
- You have a high school and / or an associate degree or 3 to 5 year’s supervisory experience
- Ideally you already have experience in the electronic, electrical or mechanical manufacturing environment
- You are able to read and interpret technical brochures and drawings
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, Power Point
- Ideally you have experience with SAP
- You have solid English skills, spoken and written
- You have good communication skills as well as a teamwork mindset
- You already have leadership and coaching experience
- You have a business acumen and a strong discipline
- You are willing to travel
