The HRIS Payroll Lead will support the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Workday Payroll application. As a Workday payroll subject matter expert, you will be responsible for maintaining and configuring US payroll, payroll-related data, optimize Workday payroll processes, integrate new software, and perform diagnostic tests & validations. As a team lead, we are looking for talent that is recognized as an expert in the payroll space. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise to manage large projects or process with limited oversight from manager. Ability to interpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Solves difficult and often complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

- Coordinate the design, development, and configuration of Workday payroll systems.
- Lead the planning and execution of upgrades to the payroll system.
- Optimize payroll processes and integrate new software solutions.
- Collaborate with collaborators to understand business needs and implement aligned solutions.
- Partner with HR, payroll teams, vendors, and associates to determine strategic needs.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for payroll solutions.
- Lead daily operational support for Workday Payroll, ensuring timely and accurate end-to-end payroll processing.
- Evaluate new releases for improvement opportunities.
- Develop advanced reports to support payroll processes.
- Support and troubleshoot Tier 2 payroll system issues.
- Engage collaborators to collect information on payroll, timekeeping, and benefits processes.
- Interpret information to uncover inefficiencies and gaps.
- Lead or participate in Kaizen and HR process initiatives for service delivery improvement.
- Identify and recommend service improvement opportunities.
- Conduct benchmarking and research for continuous improvement.
- Work with auditors to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, HR, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Workday payroll experience.
- Experience developing advanced Workday reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams.
- Strong communication skills with diverse groups.
- Analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent priority setting and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent).
- Passion for continuous learning.
- Knowledge of Human Resource processes and functions.
- Practical, analytical approach to task management.
- Certification in business process improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma).
