POSITION SUMMARY :
The Sr. National Accounts Manager will have direct account responsibility to grow the business through strategic planning and customer engagement to align customer plans with our growth initiatives. As a Sr. National Account Manager, your focus will be on developing medium to long-term planning and selling a variety of products, services and solutions across flow control, transport, service and repair products to The Home Depot, HD Pro, and HD Supply.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop medium to long-range sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with existing customers.
- Identify and manage interactions with existing customers to identify cross / up and repeat sales opportunities.
- Create client retention plans to develop profitable business with assigned accounts.
- Ensure customers receive high quality customer service.
- Review and report on customer retention, business opportunities, and market trends.
- Increase sales revenue by growing within an existing customer base while balancing the needs of the customer and the company in terms of its profitability, volume, pricing, and forecast requirements.
- Monitor and respond to market and competitor intelligence at key accounts.
- Analyze buying trends to suggest reorders or line extensions.
- Use data to create actionable insights including product gap opportunities.
- Compile and analyze daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales data to forecast and prepare long term and potential sales growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to prepare and conduct formal presentations.
- Able to travel up to 35% to visit customer sites, plants, attend meetings / training, and / or participate in trade shows / events.
- Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.
