HVAC PROJECT MANAGER
The primary function of a Project Manager is to plan, coordinate, execute, and maintain an effective field construction organization utilizing the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, subcontracted services, and other company resources to effectively perform the scope of contracted work within an allotted budget and time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, submittals and other contract documents to create a job plan for the successful completion of assigned projects
- Develop and track a project schedule.
- Effective manpower planning for future projects, including direction of specialty subcontractors.
- Establish project cost control centers for tracking of equipment, material, labor, subcontracts, and
- Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors.
- Procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
- Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.
- Follow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with owner to insure customer satisfaction.
- Manage large jobs with minimal supervision.
- Control job cost, closely monitoring necessary tasks.
- Estimate changes in scope of work.
- Schedules and supervises all installation, fabrication and start-up labor on assigned projects.
- Perform job cost reviews reporting status to management.
- Assures that contractual obligation has been met and that all close-out documents are submitted.
- Adhere to Safety Best Practices
- Knowledge of construction processes
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to read and interpret Construction Documents, Plans and Specifications
- Excellent organization skills
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Must have supervisory skills to plan, direct, organize, and control the activities of others with limited supervision
- Decisive individual with a strong mechanical aptitude
Builder Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong connections with builders.
- Seek opportunities to acquire new builder accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all builder communications.
- Estimating & Design:
- Perform HVAC load calculations
- Review blueprints and CAD drawings to create accurate HVAC designs.
- Estimate materials and labor for HVAC installations in commercial new construction.
HVAC License a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
