Overview
Masek Golf Car Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Counter Person to join our team, who will then grow to Assistant Parts Manager within the year, and eventually take over as Parts Manager in 5-7 years. Our current Parts Manager has been with the company for over 30 years, and is looking to train a reliable replacement prior to his retirement in the next 5-7 years. No prior experience necessary, extensive one-on-one training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while managing order fulfillment and inventory control. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that customers receive the products they need promptly and accurately.
We are looking to hire and begin on-the-job training as soon as possible, but we can be patient and flexible for the right candidate.
Wage:
$17.50 - $19.50/hour base, depending on experience. Paid every two weeks. Additional incentives and bonus opportunities are available. Christmas bonus each year. Expected raises after progressing to Assistant Parts Manager, and eventually to Parts Manager.
Expected hours:
40 per week plus overtime as necessary. Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM. One Hour Lunch from 11:00 – 12:00 or 12:30-1:30. 20-minute paid break every two hours. Saturdays 9-3 on rotation, one or two Saturdays per month.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and orders. This position will be the primary parts person that walk-in customers work with.
- Take Parts calls from Golf Courses, Dealers, and Retail Customers.
- Work with Sales and Service Departments to meet their Parts Needs, including picking parts and billing in our computer system.
- Assist in checking-in Parts and stocking inventory shelves.
- Assist in shipping out parts orders using Fed Ex and Truck Freight, completing paperwork and billing for shipped orders.
- Utilize DOS-Based computer system to understand current inventory and bill customers.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Call over-due accounts and collect payment over the phone.
- Be the primary Retail Salesperson for parts, making recommendations for upsells/cross sells.
- Maintain organized and clean parts areas.
- Operate a forklift to receive truck freight and organize parts areas.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction and improve service efficiency.
