Job Description
The field service technician is responsible for providing onsite support which includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex analytical instrumentation, and customer training.
This is a customer-facing role and is a key part of our front-line support, resources and services that put our customer needs first and help them succeed.
Essential Job Functions
· Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of analytical instrumentation for both inline and laboratory instruments
· Troubleshoot complex technical instrumentation issues and drive to resolution
· Maintain high customer satisfaction and fast response times
· Complete pre-visit customer quotation
· Submit prompt and accurate service reports
· Complete post visit documentation for billing
· Work with inventory control to maintain accurate inventory
· Booking efficient service schedule routing, and visit requirements
· Follows safe work practices according to company policy
· Determine appropriate replacement parts inventory, efficient parts utilization, and maintain accurate inventory records
· 50-75% overnight travel required
· Provide technical support and/or assist in bench repairs when not traveling
· Mandatory overtime as business needs dictate; Flexible scheduling required to meet customer demands
Qualifications
· AA/technical certification or diploma required
· Min. 4-5 years of experience required
· Familiar with the use of various electronic components (i.e. multi meter, crimping tools, soldering iron, etc.) and mechanical hand tool (i.e. power screw/nut driver, caliper, etc.)
· Must have good oral and written communication skills
· Ability to read and/or work from both mechanical/wiring diagrams and written instruction
· Working knowledge of laboratory quality control equipment and process analytical equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
