What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Support Staff position at MASH Property Management LLC?
MASH Property Management is looking for compassionate, responsible support staff who are willing to help people dealing with homelessness. Duties include providing services to guests housed at a homeless shelter, keeping guests and property safe, patrolling buildings, de-escalating conflict, following daily tasks given by the manager and as needed. We are looking for multiple candidates to satisfy multiple shift times and days.
All Safety Support employees should:
· Be on time and ready to work every shift.
· Be flexible and available to perform tasks to maintain a safe environment for fellow employees and tenants.
· Be flexible about work locations within the three AAHLT properties.
· Be trained in MANDT and other techniques to ensure all staff are prepared for a variety of situations including de-escalating situations.
· Dress professionally in the MASH uniform.
· Keep accurate time sheet records.
· Be able to walk up and down stairs and the perimeter of the building.
· Be able to use basic housekeeping machinery such as a vacuum cleaner or rug shampooer.
· Be able to lift 10 pounds.
· Have a general knowledge of computer use and be open to learning new programs.
· Promote a safety-oriented culture among employees and tenants, emphasizing the importance of individual responsibility for safety.
· Enters time worked correctly in the On Time program.
Safety Support 1
· Walks the property hourly inside the building and outside the building–talks to tenants, picks up trash, ensures property is safe and secure.
· Answers the main phone professionally to provide information and guidance to tenants and guests.
· Cleans the common areas of the building including the front desk, laundry rooms, elevators, and hallways.
· Assists in weekly inspections of tenant rooms.
· Records tenant concerns in the proper place–maintenance logs, incident logs, etc.
· Communicates emergency maintenance or tenant issues immediately to shift supervisor or General Manager.
· Coordinates emergency services arriving on-site including calling for emergency services when needed.
· Monitors and records guest visits and enforces restrictions on visitors.
· Prepares rooms for rental including vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, hauling trash and other duties needed to prepare a room for rental.
· Assists in emergency situations and evacuations.
