What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant II position at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation?
Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the incumbent’s responsibilities include all activities/processes related to accounting and related financial transactions, monthly closing process, and maintaining financial records. Additional responsibilities include internal and external financial reporting, analysis and reconciliation of various financial accounts, preparation of fixed asset records, tax schedules & analyses, preparation of the monthly financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information provided to management. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance; and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience in a financial environment. Expertise in EXCEL, Word and on-line accounting systems required. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to details and accuracy, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
