What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation?
Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the incumbent is responsible to assist with the financial accounting and reporting and administration for MPTN (including its unincorporated instrumentalities and business enterprises). In addition, the incumbent is responsible for cross-training, updating and creating Finance Department policies, as well as procedures, and reporting capital projects and fixed assets activity. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Five (5) years of progressive broad-based accounting experience, combined with prior supervisory & leadership experience is required (this position supervises accountants but has no direct reports). Strong project management skills required & experience with other financial software tools is a plus. Knowledge of and experience with fund accounting is a plus.
