WHAT IS THE JOB?
As the Manager, Tailoring Operations for Mashburn, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining tailoring operational standards for the company. You will analyze the entire process from store alteration collections through to the delivery of the garment to the customer by gathering the necessary data and partnering with our master tailors and store managers. You will drive the implementation of solutions and process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. You will directly manage the central HQ tailoring shop team and will work closely with store managers, to ensure store tailors are also following the established policies and processes. This role reports to the Men's Retail Director and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Creates processes, target metrics and reporting of tailoring operations with a focus on ROI and customer service
- Provides training content to the HQ and store tailoring teams to document tailoring shop processes and log times
- Tracks time stamps for tailoring processes across the company to ensure the appropriate amount of labor is allocated to each process
- Monitors and reviews alteration collections, tailoring supplies and equipment, and tailoring operations in store with Store Managers and recommends ways to improve
- Tracks labor costs and volume of alterations to drive profitability
- Monitors competitive alterations pricing in key markets to provide price change recommendations
- Provides feedback to design and merchandising teams on product fit and construction issues and concerns
- Creates sound business case for additional resources, in staff, equipment and technology
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Retail Operations or Business Management experience of 3 years or more
- Proven process improvement and analytical skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office products with aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
- Understands store operations and has the skills to create processes to resolve a variety of problems in creative ways
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse team of employees and internal partners
- Proficiency in Vietnamese preferred though not required
- Has interpersonal skills to influence, collaborate with, and build relationships with others in cross-functional roles
